Fulbright Scholar from Turkey joins the Lab

Welcome to the TALE Lab, Sevi!

August 1, 2024

We are thrilled to welcome Sevi Gizem Zeybek to our lab as a Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher for the 2024–2025 academic year. Sevi joins us from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey, where she is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Developmental Psychology Program. She was awarded the prestigious Fulbright - Ph.D. Dissertation Research Grant to support her dissertation work here at UCSB.

Sevi brings a rich academic background, having earned her B.S. in Psychology with high honors in 2017 and her master's degree in Developmentally Focused Clinical Psychology from TED University in 2020. Her research explores the functional use of autobiographical memory, its connection to psychological well-being, and how these dynamics may differ across cultures.

Since 2019, Sevi has served as a Research and Teaching Assistant, and later as a Lecturer at TED University. We are excited to collaborate with her and support her innovative work during her time with us.

Welcome, Sevi!
