Annalise presents honors thesis research at UCLA Psychology Conference
Annalise presented her honors thesis research at the prestigious at the Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference at UCLA
We are thrilled to congratulate Annalise Evans on presenting her honors thesis research at the Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference (PURC) at UCLA. PURC is a prestigious annual event that highlights outstanding undergraduate research in psychology from across the country, and we are proud to see Annalise representing the TALE Lab and UCSB.
Annalise's thesis, titled “Exploring the Impact of Story Asides on Narrative Quality,” investigates how tangential elements in autobiographical storytelling—known as story asides—affect the perceived quality of personal narratives across age groups. Her research bridges two key areas: the tendency for older adults to include more story asides, and the finding that their stories are often rated as higher in quality than those of younger adults.
Congratulations, Annalise, on your impressive research and for sharing your work at one of the field’s top undergraduate conferences!
