GSA First General Meeting
UCSB's GSA Chapter first general meeting recap!
October 6, 2026
Co-President Julia Salamango and Treasurer Kara Dunne presented GSA at the Graduate Student Involvement Fair before our first general meeting!
On Tuesday, October 6th, GSA Student Chapter had a phenomenal first general meeting! Hosted by Co-presidents Julia Salamango and Samantha Zaches, students joined us for pizza and a guest lecture from Faculty Supervisor Dr. Nicole Albada! Julia and Samantha introduced the chapter’s vision and mission, outlining the calendar for the quarter. Dr. Albada engaged students, particularly with her knowledge of demographics and population statistics concerning aging and longevity. Overall, a huge success!
