Sydney Jawitz

Sydney is a recent UCSB graduate who majored in Psychological and Brain Sciences. During her time at UCSB she worked in the TALE lab exploring the role of autobiographical stories in teaching and learning. Throughout her senior year she worked on her honors thesis investigating the accuracy of autobiographical memories depending on emotional intensity. She has attended multiple conferences presenting her findings. Currently, Sydney is a post-baccalaureate researcher in the TALE lab supervising undergraduate RAs and working on a project exploring the linguistic characteristics of autobiographical memories from young adulthood to old age in a Trinidadian sample.

*** Sydney is now at George Washington University in Spring 2023 pursuing a Master’s in Forensic Psychology in order to prepare herself for a career as a criminal behavioral analyst. She continues to conduct research and publish with Dr. Albada.***
